Detailed Itinerary
Starts From Nairobi
Day 1: Departure from Nairobi to Aberdares
Your safari commences with an early morning departure from Nairobi, driving north towards the Aberdare National Park. Arrive at Aberdare in time for lunch at your lodge, situated amidst the lush mountainous landscape. Afternoon activities include a guided nature walk along scenic trails or relaxing at the lodge, enjoying views of wildlife at the waterhole. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 2: Aberdares to Samburu
After breakfast, depart Aberdares and journey further north to Samburu National Reserve, renowned for its unique wildlife and dramatic landscapes. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive. Explore Samburu's semi-arid terrain, home to the Samburu Special Five (Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx, and gerenuk). Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Full Day Exploration of Samburu
Rise early for a morning game drive in Samburu, witnessing the sunrise over the picturesque Ewaso Nyiro River. Search for elusive predators and other wildlife adapted to the arid conditions, such as lions, elephants, and leopards. Enjoy a bush breakfast amidst the wilderness and continue with another game drive or optional visit to a local Samburu village to learn about their culture and traditions. Return to the lodge for dinner and relaxation.
Day 4: Samburu to Nairobi
After breakfast, depart Samburu and begin your journey back to Nairobi. En route, stop for lunch and enjoy scenic views of the landscapes. Arrive in Nairobi in the late afternoon, where your memorable Samburu and Aberdares safari concludes.
