Detailed Itinerary
Starts From Nairobi
Day 1: Departure from Nairobi to Samburu National Park
Your adventure begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi, traveling north through Kenya's scenic countryside to Samburu National Park. Arrive at your lodge or camp in time for lunch. After settling in, embark on an afternoon game drive. Explore the unique, arid landscapes of Samburu, home to rare species such as the Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx, and gerenuk. Return to your lodge for dinner and relaxation.
Day 2: Full Day Exploration of Samburu
Rise early for a morning game drive to catch the wildlife at its most active. Experience the thrill of spotting predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards. Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast, then spend the midday at leisure, perhaps enjoying a dip in the pool or an optional visit to a local Samburu village to learn about their culture and traditions. In the afternoon, head out for another game drive to explore different parts of the park. As the sun sets, return to your lodge for dinner and a restful night.
Day 3: Samburu to Sweetwaters Conservancy
After breakfast, depart Samburu and drive to Sweetwaters Conservancy, located in the heart of Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge. In the afternoon, visit the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, the only place in Kenya where you can see these endangered primates. Enjoy a game drive in the conservancy, home to the Big Five and other wildlife. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Morning Game Drive and Return to Nairobi
Begin your day with an early morning game drive in Sweetwaters, taking advantage of the cooler temperatures to spot wildlife. After the game drive, return to the lodge for breakfast. Pack your belongings and check out, then start your journey back to Nairobi. Enjoy the scenic drive and arrive in Nairobi in the late afternoon, concluding your memorable safari.
